FOX tries to stop WATCHMEN…classy dicks December 31, 2008

AP LOS ANGELES – An attorney for 20th Century Fox says the studio will continue to seek an order delaying the release of ‘Watchmen.’

U.S. District Court Judge Gary Feess last week agreed with Fox that Warner Bros. had infringed its copyright by developing and shooting the superhero flick, scheduled for release March 6.

Feess said Monday he plans to hold a trial Jan. 20 to decide remaining issues.

Fox claims it never fully relinquished story rights from its deal made in the late 1980s, and sued Warner Bros. in February. Warner Bros. contended Fox isn’t entitled to distribution.

Warner Bros.’ attorney said Monday he didn’t know if an appeal was coming, but thinks a trial is necessary and a settlement unlikely.

What is this shit FOX? I don’t even care about the fucking law, this is WATCHMEN. I’m so pissed right now, though I can’t imagine what Zack Snyder and everyone else who put their hearts and souls in to this film must be feeling. Thoughts? Bullshit.

NEW HARRY POTTER TEASER October 27, 2008

Yes, taunt us with yet another exciting trailer, and make us wait until July 2009. How sweet and considerate to think of the little people, Warner Brothers. Anyways, this trailer looks fantastic (save for the annoying high-note emo opera woman in the beginning…what is up with them being in every dramatic trailer?) and thrilling and dark and dramatic and fun. Of course, nothing compared to the books, but still a brilliant series. I liked the shot of Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint) kissing Lavendar and Harry thinking a girl was into him. Nice playing into the teenage hormones aspect of the book. Nice. Hopefully there’s not too much of that, I’m a girl, and I know Harry Potter is the best in its action and mysterious magic, not teenage angst and love. Enjoy.
