FOX tries to stop WATCHMEN…classy dicks December 31, 2008

AP LOS ANGELES – An attorney for 20th Century Fox says the studio will continue to seek an order delaying the release of ‘Watchmen.’

U.S. District Court Judge Gary Feess last week agreed with Fox that Warner Bros. had infringed its copyright by developing and shooting the superhero flick, scheduled for release March 6.

Feess said Monday he plans to hold a trial Jan. 20 to decide remaining issues.

Fox claims it never fully relinquished story rights from its deal made in the late 1980s, and sued Warner Bros. in February. Warner Bros. contended Fox isn’t entitled to distribution.

Warner Bros.’ attorney said Monday he didn’t know if an appeal was coming, but thinks a trial is necessary and a settlement unlikely.

What is this shit FOX? I don’t even care about the fucking law, this is WATCHMEN. I’m so pissed right now, though I can’t imagine what Zack Snyder and everyone else who put their hearts and souls in to this film must be feeling. Thoughts? Bullshit.

Saturday Night Live – Update: Amy’s Goodbye December 14, 2008

A whole new meaning to tears of joy came with this fitting farewell from my favorite castmember in recent memmory, Amy Poehler. The part that got to me was her and Seth Meyer’s embrace, which seemed full of sadness, like they didn’t want to let go. Or maybe i’m just overreacting a bit…I tend to do that. Still, I can’t even begin to emphasize how much I love her and I hope that she goes on to have the more success than she can imagine. She simply deserves it.
